Food Fair Article

Comprehesive...

The international food fair was held on the 7th of Dec.2007, in Methodist College. It was held by form 2 students. This food fair is an English project for students to speak English. Lots of people thought that it was a well prepared. Lots of teachers were happy about it. After the food fair, we gave the money to the charity, Medeins Sans Fantieres.

what did i learn last week...

i learnt that food fair is an awful event.

sharing my experience from yesterday afternoon's food fair...

Yesterday's food fair was awful, everything was a mess. The teachers were useless.First, before we went down to the lower hall, the teachers don't know whether we were going to the H.E. room or lower hall. Then after a while, another teacher told us to go to the lower hall.
When we went down, lots of students have found a place for their group, except our class. We need to rush to the table, if not, other students would took it. We all thought that we need to follow the paper that Mr.Woo gave us. When we go to our table, someone had took it. And they said that Mr.Woo gave us another paper, and group them again. We ask them for the paper, they gave it to us and we saw that that was our place. They didn't care. We saw a place that is against the wall. We rushed towards the table, But the teacher said the was for the reception. So we walk away to find another table.
After that we found another place near the stage in the meddle of the lower hall. We set up all the things, then we saw the table that the teacher use for the reception is lent to a group in 2w. My group and Kelly's group was very unsatisfied. Kelly's group asked the teacher why before they can't use it but after that the teacher lent it to another group.
Their group was very mad and they started to shout at the teacher, and some of them started to cry too.
Meanwhile, we went to the H.E. room to reheat, it was 12:30 already,we all hungry and tried. We ate some of the food that we made for the food fair. I thought they taste good and smell good too, although they didn't look very fine and nice.
The food fair started, everyone got crazy, some groups are screaming and yelling for more people to come and buy the food. We brought some food and walk around, everyone looks very busy. I bought a cake form 2G and bought a cup of noodles from Carmel's group. The noodles are as delicious as the one made in Hotel.
After the food fair, we needed to put bake all the tables and chairs, i think it was a quite meaningful thing because the school workers
didn't need work that hard for what we did to the lower hall. We played the balloon that we took it from the ground and we had fun at last.
I thought the teachers need to order the group to settled down, it was waste of time to find a place to settle down. And the teachers need us to talk in english with our friends while preparing or others, but it didn't work because most of us dont have time to think how to express it out and somehow chinese is their(or our)mother tongue. It is difficult for them to use all in english.

what did i learn last week...

active: We(subject) made(verb) a new kind(object) of material.

passive:A new kind (object)of material(verb be) was made(past participle).

about the country which you have chosen for your food fair...

Germans eating habits are also similar like European neighbours.They like to have sausages, especially with beer. Although we don't have enough money to buy some sausages from Germany, there are foods are made by potatoes. For example, Kartoffelsalat (potato salad).

Self Reflection for the restaurant review...

This time I have learnt that we can't rely on our parents all the time. Janet and Jeromy can't go and get the food for cooking the Korean barbecue, they also can't cook it by themselves. Me and Ada were like their mother, we needed to help them to cook and needed to go out to get the food with them. Although they are smart, but they can't live by themselves. I hope they needn't rely on their parent. And that make me understand why my parents sometimes theyneed me to do my own things by myself.

active verb and passive verb

active verb:
I closed the door.

passive verb:

differences between active verb and passive verb:
1)no doer[sometimes]
2)active object become passive subject
3)active verb become be+past partciple

what did i lean in making an advertisement for the food fair...

I have learnt that making an advertisement is very difficult. We need to have team work to finish this advertisement and we need to be creative to so the people who watch won't feel bored. Although we can't show our classmates our video, but i think that we did our best to do this video.
I think we didn't do well is team work because at first the camera man always film that we needn't to film, and didn't film that we need to film. But after that, he knew which he need to film and which needn't.

After I finished reading this a article, I think me and my father are also fussy eaters. And i think that most of the fussy eaters are thin. My parents are afraid that I don't have enough vitamins. I think we should feed them with the food that they like in order to my them fat. But we should let them eat more vegetables and fruits to make them healthy.

After I read the article about fussy eaters, I think I am I of them. My parents are worried about me that if I have enough vitamins. If you want the fussy eaters to eat more, we have to feed them with food that they like to eat.

choose a place in hong kong to be the ninth wonder of the world...

If i choose a place in Hong Kong to be the ninth wonder in Hong Kong, i will choose The Peak because the tourists and Hong Kong people can see the view of Hong Kong. At night, the couples can have a romantic dinners at The Peak and after that they can walk along the trail. Some people maybe like to take some photos of Hong Kong view, that is a good place to take too. The Peak is good for family, friends and couples to go.

my hobby...

My hobby is collecting stamps. I have a lot of different countries of stamps, for example: Canada, China, Japan and others. Most of the stamps represent each countries culture. I started collecting stamps since eight years old. My first stamp is from Macao's souvenir shop. It is about Macao's antique. I hope i can collect more stamps from other countries.
